Climate, Biodiversity and Sustainability
We are facing challenging tasks: We must not only protect the climate but also secure our energy supply and preserve biodiversity. Climate, biodiversity and energy are decisive factors on our path to sustainability. These three issues are closely linked and at the same time involve major conflicts of interest.
Climate change is threatening biodiversity and therefore our livelihoods. To protect the climate, we need an energy transition. However, the expansion of renewable energies has a negative impact on biodiversity and landscapes. Conversely, diverse species make ecosystems resilient. An intact natural environment mitigates the impact of climate change and helps us to adapt.
It is these interactions and conflicting goals that we are confronted with. They require a balanced approach: what we decide today we decide today will shape the decades to come.
INTER ACT works with you and together wilt you at these interfaces. We create space for dialog, ideas and solutions for a sustainable future.
