In the mission for sustainable development the Swiss Federal Office of Regional Planning (ARE) establishes a catalogues of «Best Practices» with an exemplary characteristics. The promotion of these «Best Practices» renders the concept of sustainable development more tangable. Additionally, actors on a canton and communal level are given an incentive based on interesting experiences to develop their own projects. A brochure on the topic «Best Practices of Education of Sustainable Development» will be produced by the end of 2008.
